Bad News

Our universe could one day be destroyed Star Trek-style by smashing into a parallel universe, says a physicist at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.  The many worlds interpretation of quantum physics says quantum phenomena are cause by out Universe interacting with others.  But Hanson has now shown that a large universe interacting with a smaller counterpart can obliterate the smaller one.
