Economics 306, Section 3, meets 7:30- 8:45am, Tuesday & Thursday, during Fall 1999, in room Enterprise 175.

Catalog Entry:

306 Intermediate Microeconomics (3:3:0). Prerequisites: ECON 103 and 104, and MATH 108 or 113. Basic factors of price and distribution theory, including analysis of demand, costs of production and supply relationships, and price and output determination under various market structures.

Optional Text:
Hal Varian, Workouts in Intermediate Microeconomics, Fifth Edition, WW Norton & Co., ISBN 0-393-97371-9, 1999. (Campus bookstore has 4th edition, which is fine too.)
Exam Policy: Exams are closed book, but you are can use one standard size (8.5"x11") piece of paper with notes.
Homework Policy: You can discuss with others how to solve the homework, but each person should do their own work. Major Dates: Midterm in class 11/11/99, Final 7:30-10:15am Thur. 12/16/99.
Grade Weights: Your final grade will be a weighted average of Homework (20%), Midterm Exam (30%), and Final Exam (50%).
